A VPS, or Virtual Private Server, allows a user to have guaranteed system resources, and operates much like a dedicated server at a fraction of the cost. Xen 'virtualises' a single dedicated server into multiple 'mini-servers' with guaranteed RAM, disk space, and full root access.
